Soul Asylum Added To Naperville Last Fling Lineup

The band will join Barenaked Ladies on Sunday, Sept. 3.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Jaycees on Tuesday announced that Soul Asylum has been added to list of performers for Sunday, Sept. 3, at the Last Fling. They'll join Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies as part of the Sunday lineup. The Last Fling is set for Sept. 1 to 4 in and around downtown Naperville.

Other Last Fling performers include Emily Ann Roberts and Lanco on Friday, Sept. 1, and former Poison frontman Bret Michaels and Cinderella's Tom Keifer on Saturday, Sept. 2. Tickets for performances are on sale now on the Last Fling Main Stage website.

"Soul Asylum's indie success led to the band entering the major-label mainstream with 1988's Hang Time and its 1990 follow-up And the Horse They Rode In On, and achieving a platinum-level commercial breakthrough with 1992's Grave Dancers Union and 1995's Let Your Dim Light Shine," the Jaycees said in a press release. "Grave Dancers Union featured the international hits 'Runaway Train,' which won a 1994 Grammy as Best Rock Song, and 'Black Gold,' while Let Your Dim Light Shine spawned the hit "Misery.'"
