Supporting Seniors with Heart
The Naperville Junior Woman's Club & Martin Avenue Apartments Partnership

For over 40 years, the Naperville Junior Woman’s Club (NJWC) has proudly partnered with Martin Avenue Apartments, a low-income housing development for seniors in Naperville. Through this long-standing collaboration, the NJWC has been able to brighten the lives of the residents, creating lasting memories and fostering a strong sense of community.
Thanks to the generosity of local residents and donors, the NJWC organizes special events and provides essential services that bring joy and comfort to Martin Avenue’s senior residents. Some of the highlights of this annual partnership include:
- Spring Flower Donations: Every year, residents receive beautiful flowers to help welcome the season and brighten their living spaces.
- Ice Cream Social: During the summer, the NJWC hosts a fun and festive Ice Cream Social, giving residents a chance to socialize, enjoy a sweet treat, and feel the warmth of the community.
- Thanksgiving Dinner: As the holiday season approaches, the NJWC ensures that each resident enjoys a full Thanksgiving meal, bringing comfort and cheer to those who might otherwise feel isolated during this time.
- Holiday Gifts: In December, the NJWC organizes the donation of holiday gifts for every resident, ensuring they feel remembered and appreciated during the holiday season.
In addition to these events, the NJWC offers an opportunity for community members to directly contribute to the residents' well-being by participating in the "Adopt a Senior" program. For just $60, you can sponsor a senior for the entire year. This donation helps to fund the activities and services provided to the residents, creating a year-round sense of connection and care.
