Teen Car Burglars Try To Break Into Home In Naperville: Police

Police say one of the teens was armed with a stolen firearm.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Two teens have been arrested and charged with a string of car burglaries that took place over a two-week period in Naperville. Isaac Springwater, 18, of the 1500 block of Bond St., Naperville, and Major Gilmore III, 18, of Pasadena, Texas, were taken into custody Saturday following a report of an attempted home break-in near the intersection of Route 59 and Paxton Dr.

Police responded to the report around 4 a.m. and spotted Gilmore and Springwater while searching the surrounding area. The teens were taken into custody and charged in connection with four car burglaries that had recently been reported on the city's northwest side.

Springwater faces counts of burglary, unlawful possession of a stolen firearm, battery, and resisting a peace officer. Gilmore has been charged with three counts of burglary and one count of resisting a peace officer.
