Toy Scooter Causes Naperville Basement Fire
No injuries were reported and the residents were allowed to return home.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A small fire broke out early Wednesday evening due to an overheated toy scooter.
Naperville firefighters were called to the 5000 block of Bamboo Lane at 6:11 June 29 after receiving a call from a resident in the home.

Nothing was showing from outside the two-story home when crews arrived, but they found a fire burning in the basement. The fire was put out in less than 10 minutes.
The fire was determined to be accidental and was caused by an overheated two-wheeled toy scooter.

No injuries were reported and all residents had self-evacuated. The home was deemed habitable and the residents were allowed to go back inside.
