NAPERVILLE, IL — Kids and families can have a blast and learn about public safety as they watch live demonstrations from Naperville's fire and police department's during the 2023 Public Safety Open House.

The free event will be held Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Naperville Public Safety Campus, 1380 Aurora Ave.

The activities include:

  • K-9 unit demo
  • Mock water rescue
  • Firefighting demo
  • Drone and taser demo
  • Vehicle extrication demo
  • Traffic stop demo

Kids can explore squad cars and fire trucks during the event. Aspiring crime fighters can learn how to survey a crime scene, dust for fingerprints and field emergency calls.

Food trucks will be on hand to offer items for sale.
