Widespread Power Outage Closes School, Businesses In Naperville
Naperville North students sent home early after hours-long power outage.

NAPERVILLE, IL — More than two hours after power went out in northern Naperville, crews were still working to restore electricity to some customers. As a result of the widespread power outage, Naperville North High School dismissed students early and many businesses in the area closed.
A representative at the city's dispatch service said most of the affected residents had power restored as of 3 p.m., some customers were still without power.
Naperville City officials said in a Tweet that residents in the Indian Hills subdivision were still waiting for power to be restored in the city's most recent update.

Patch reached out to a the city to determine the cause of the outage, but did not immediately receive a call back with comment.
