You're Invited! Tea and Book Talk on Naperville's Founders
HarborChase of Naperville hosts local author and history buff to talk about the journey to Naperville in 1831.

HarborChase of Naperville invites you to take a mid-afternoon break and join them for tea and a book talk with author Kate Gingold on Thursday, August 8, at 2:00pm. Whether you are recent transplant or have lived here for years, you'll learn something new about the founding of our town.
"Searching for Naper's Settlers" follows the research that became the book "Ruth by Lake and Prairie," an Illinois State Historical Society award-winner. Ruth was the twelve-year-old niece of Joseph Naper, one of the many pioneers who came to settle on the banks of the DuPage River, and the book's journey is seen through her eyes.
This "historical reality show" features plenty of slides and stories gathered from months of research and features fun facts to accompany your afternoon tea. The tea-and-book-talk event is free and open to the public. Just take a few moments to stop at the front desk for directions.
