2 Caught Burglarizing Shed in New Lenox: Police

Two people from Chicago were charged after police responded to a suspicious person complaint on Georgia's Way.

NEW LENOX, IL - A pair from Chicago was caught burglarizing a shed in New Lenox last week, police said.

New Lenox police arrested Nathan A. Reiter, 38 and Carolyn LaFaire, 43 - both of the same Chicago address - on March 28 after they were called to an area in the 1200 block of Georgia's Way for a report of a suspicious person.

A police officer arrived at the scene just before 3 p.m. to find a man matching the description of the suspicious person exiting a shed. The suspects turned out to be Reiter, who had an active arrest warrant out of Matteson. He told police he was removing items from the shed from the owner, but the owner later told police he had never met Reiter or LeFaire, who was found exiting the shed moments after Reiter.

They also found LeFaire to be in possession of prescription medications for which she did not have a prescription. She also had an arrest warrant out of Grundy County.
