Speedway Gas Station Gets Robbed In New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL - Late night businesses in the village of New Lenox continue to be targeted by armed robbers. The New Lenox Police Department announced that a robbery occurred at 11:30 p.m. Monday at the Speedway Gas Station, 800 West Lincoln Highway. Two men were involved and one showed a gun. Nobody at the Speedway got hurt, police said.

"Two other armed robberies have occurred at gas stations in nearby communities within a 24-hour period," New Lenox Police said. "The pictured (criminals) are believed to have been involved in those robberies as well."

Back in August, late-night robbers with guns hit the same New Lenox 7-Eleven store twice.
