42 Lincoln-Way Businesses Team Up For Small Business Raffle

NEW LENOX, IL — Businesses from New Lenox, Mokena, Frankfort and Manhattan have teamed up for a raffle which will benefit Lincoln-Way area businesses. 42 small businesses from the Lincoln-Way area have each contributed $300 in gift certificates to their businesses, totaling a $12,600 prize pool.

The raffle is hosted by Cedar + Moss Studios, a photography studio in New Lenox; Barre It All Fitness, a boutique fitness studio, from Frankfort; and is sponsored by the Lincoln-Way High School District 210 Foundation for Educational Excellence.

"We feel like the little guys are lost in the cracks with little to no help at all and we needed to do something," Andrea Keaveney from Cedar + Moss Studios told Patch.

If you want to participate, you can buy $10 raffle tickets online. Three winners will be randomly selected after June 4, and each winner will receive 42 $100 gift certificates. The certificates can be used starting Jan. 1, 2021, to allow time for small businesses to get back on their feet. The proceeds from the raffle tickets will be split among the small businesses.

An hour after launching the raffle, $6,000 in raffle tickets had already been sold, Keaveney told Patch.
