64 Confirmed, Suspected Cases Of Coronavirus At Silver Cross
As of noon Wednesday, the hospital said it has 52 inpatients who have tested positive for the coronavirus and 12 persons under investigation

NEW LENOX, IL — The amount of coronavirus inpatients at Silver Cross Hospital has once again decreased slightly overall in the past week. As of noon Wednesday, the hospital said it has 52 inpatients who have tested positive for the coronavirus and 12 persons under investigation.
Patients continue to be cared for in isolation.
Last week, on April 22, the hospital had reported it had a total of 67 patients either positive for the coronavirus or persons under investigation. The week before that, on April 15, the hospital had 69 patients who had tested positive for the coronavirus or were persons under investigation.

"We continue to welcome the generous donations of masks and meals for our staff. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for everything you have done for us in the midst of this ongoing COVID challenge," Director Of Marketing and Community Relations at Silver Cross Hospital Deb Robbins told Patch.

As of April 28, there are 48,102 people who have tested positive for the coronavirus in Illinois, and 2,125 have died. In Will County, the county in which Silver Cross Hospital is located, there are 2,267 people who have tested positive for the coronavirus and 145 county residents have died.
