Teenage Girl Among 9 Latest Will County Coronavirus Deaths

Will County's Health Department now reports 145 coronavirus deaths in Will County since March.

JOLIET, IL — For the first time since the new coronavirus break reached Will County, a local teenager has died from the illness. On Tuesday afternoon, Will County Health Department spokesman Steve Brandy reported nine additional deaths of local residents from the coronavirus, including one teenager.

Brandy told Patch he did not have information on the teenage girl's hometown. There now have been at least 145 coronavirus deaths in Will County, he said.

In addition to the teenager, Will County reported the death of a man in his 50s, two women in their 60s, two men in their 70s, two men in their 80s and one woman in her 90s.

On Tuesday, Will County's total number of cases increased by 87, to 2,267, Brandy said.
