83-Year-Old New Lenox Man Found Safe: Sheriff
Wayne Gallinger was found unharmed in Boone County.
NEW LENOX, IL — After asking for the public's help in finding a missing 83-year-old New Lenox man , the Will County Sheriff's Office announced Monday that he had been found safe. Wayne A. Gallinger was last seen leaving his home at around 10 a.m. Sunday, police said
Police said Gallinger was found "safe and unharmed" and that arrangements were being made to reunite him with his family.
Police previously said Gallinger has early-stage Alzheimer's disease and sometimes gets confused while driving. He normally meets a group of friends each morning at a nearby McDonald's but did not show up on Monday.
