AMC New Lenox Evacuated Due To Fire
Staff and guests at the AMC Showplace New Lenox 14 were evacuated after a small fire Thursday afternoon.
NEW LENOX, IL -- Guests and staff at the AMC Showplace New Lenox 14 were evacuated early Thursday afternoon due to a small fire that occurred near the concession stand, a local business owner who was there at the time told New Lenox Patch.
Kate Ahrens, owner of the Randimonium Art Studio in New Lenox, said it was a small fire in the concession area that caused the evacuation. Several fire trucks could be seen outside the building on Maple Street in a video shared by Ahrens below.
Ahrens said all guests who were evacuated were given re-entry tickets for any film they'd like to see in the future. Staff remained on site.
