Area Fire Departments Taking Applications For Firefighters

WILL COUNTY, IL — Frankfort, Homer Township, Manhattan, Mokena and New Lenox fire protection districts are taking applications for firefighters. Applications are due at 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23.

The minimum requirements for the position include: US citizenship, 21 to 35 years old, no felony convictions, valid and current IDPH license paramedic, and a valid CPAT certification with Ladder Climb.

All applicants must attend orientation at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30 at Pipefitters Training Center, 10850 W. 187th St., in Mokena. Lastly, a written exam will be held Oct. 5 at the Pipefitters Training Center.
