Army National Guard Humvee Flips Along I-80: Report

The Joliet Herald-News reported no one was injured during the incident late Wednesday morning.

NEW LENOX, IL - If you were one of the many motorists driving east and westbound Interstate 80 late Wednesday morning, you may have noticed an Army vehicle flipped over along the highway. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident involving the Army National Guard Humvee that was traveling westbound on a stretch of I-80 near New Lenox, according to a Joliet Herald-News article. The incident on I-80 prompted the Illinois State Police and New Lenox firefighters to respond to the scene. Photos by the paper showed the Army vehicle was pulling a trailer at the time it rolled over.

The incident occurred around 10:45 a.m. near Route 30, and it took about 30 minutes for authorities to clear the area, the paper's story indicated.
