Arson, Battery, Deceptive Practice: New Lenox Blotter

A bike was reported stolen from the park at Nelson Ridge School on June 1.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Battery

An officer was dispatched to the Food & Fuel at 2510 N. Cedar Road at 10:37 a.m. on May 28 in reference to a complaint of an aggressive customer. The complainant advised that unknown intoxicated customer became irate when he was denied the sale of alcohol due to his intoxication. The customer struck one of the employees and damaged property prior to fleeing the scene.

Arson/Criminal Damage to Property

An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of E. Illinois Highway in reference to a small fire at 6:06 p.m. on May 29. The officer observed two portable washing stations on fire. The fire was extinguished by the NLFPD. Other equipment also sustained damage as a result of the fire.

Retail Theft

An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a retail theft at 10:03 p.m. on May 29. The complainant advised that two unknown subjects stole cosmetics, candy, and snacks prior to exiting the store.

An officer was dispatched to the NLPD in reference to a theft of a cell phone at 5:38 p.m. on June 1. The complainant advised that their cell phone was stolen while they were doing landscaping in the area of the 200 block of Manor Drive.

Deceptive Practice

An officer was dispatched to the Grand Prairie Drive in reference to a complaint of deceptive practice at 9:20 p.m. on May 31. The complainant advised that they received an email to update information on one of their accounts. The complainant indicated they began updating the account with the information being requested but realized the email was fraudulent.

Speeding/Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol/Possession of Cannabis/Possession of Drug Paraphernalia/Operating

Jessica L. Siksnus, 23, of the 1200 block of Spencer Road was charged with speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after she was stopped at E. Illinois Highway and Star Lane at 1:18 a.m. on June 1. An officer was on patrol and observed a vehicle speeding. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and learned that the driver, Siksnus, was under the influence of alcohol. The officer also learned that Siksnus was in possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

Disobeyed Traffic Control Device/Driving Under the Influence of Drugs/Operating Uninsured Motor Vehicle

Frank Carter, 46, Park Forest was charged with disobeyed traffic control device, driving under the influence of drugs and operating an uninsured motor vehicle after he was stopped at Gougar Road and Haven Avenue at 1:19 a.m. on June 1. An officer was on patrol and observed a vehicle disobey a traffic control device. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and learned that the driver, Crater, was under the influence of drugs.

Theft

An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of Sandpiper at 2:48 p.m. on June 1 in reference to a stolen bicycle. The complainant advised that their bicycle was stolen from the park at Nelson Ridge School.

Credit Card Fraud

Also, sever incidents of credit card fraud have been reported to the New Lenox Police Department over the past week.
