Ball May Forfeit Truck After Latest DUI Arrest: Complaint

Eric Ball lives in New Lenox.

JOLIET, IL - The Will County State's Attorney's Office intends to seize the 2001 Ford F250 truck belonging to Eric Ball, a 36-year-old New Lenox man who has been charged with repeat drunken driving. Ball was taken away in handcuffs by the Illinois State Police on April 2. Ball currently faces two felony counts of aggravated DUI-having a suspended or revoked license.

A court hearing on the prosecution's effort to seize Ball's truck is set for May 9 at the Will County Courthouse. Ball was pulled over on Interstate 80 while driving eastbound at mile marker 135. The State trooper who made the traffic stop noticed Ball "had glassy bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emitting from his breath," court documents state.

Furthermore, "Ball admitted to drinking."
