Ballot Set for New Lenox Local Election

Find out who will vie for which roles in New Lenox, in the April 7 local elections.

The filing deadline for nominating petitions has passed, and the candidates are in place. Here’s what voters can expect in New Lenox, for the April 7 local elections. Candidates can still file as write-ins, by Feb. 5.

Mayor

  • Mayor Tim Baldermann will run for a third term, challenged by former public works Superintendent Ron Sly and Andrew Englebreht.

Trustee

  • Newcomer Jasen Howard will take on incumbents Dave Butterfield, Nancy Dye, and Keith Madsen for three, four-year terms.
  • Emily Johnson, who was named to replace Ray Tuminello, and Sally Van Cura will both go for a two-year unexpired term.

New Lenox School District 122

  • Kathy Miller and Maureen Broderick will not run again.
  • Five will challenge Board President Nick DiSandro, for three seats: Jennifer Babbington, Jonathon Cohen, Michele “DeGroot” Rosenfeld, Nicole Swallow and Albert Haring.
