Bourbonnais Man Charged With Vandalizing New Lenox Veterans Memorial

The Bourbonnais man was jailed on a felony charge of damaging government property.

A Bourbonnais man was charged with vandalizing the New Lenox Veterans Memorial.

Brian Sundstrom, 26, was charged with criminal damage to government property. He was booked into the Will County jail Thursday afternoon and faces up to seven years in prison if found guilty.

“Sundstrom came to the police station to speak with detectives about the damage to the Veterans Memorial and detectives developed enough probable cause, including the recovery of fingerprints that matched Sundstrom’s, to charge him with” the crime, police said.
