Burglary, Stolen Car: New Lenox Police Reports

New Lenox Police reports through Sept. 9.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Sept. 2

  • Kimberly Fenner, 51, of the 100 block of Hawthorne, was arrested at 7:12 p.m. at Batson Court and Cedar Road and charged with DUI, resisting arrest, aggravated battery and operating uninsured vehicle.

  • An unlocked car with the keys inside was stolen from the 600 block of Northern Lights Way. The car was recovered Sept. 4 in Harvey.
  • Cash and gift cards were stolen from an unlocked car in the 1100 block of Brooke Lane.
  • Keys and IDs were stolen from three unlocked cars in the 600 block of Northern Lights Way.

Sept. 4

  • A purse was stolen from Portillo's, 2306 E. Lincoln Highway. The credit cards were then used to make fraudulent purchases.
  • Someone stole $350 worth of over the counter medications from Target, 2370 E. Lincoln Highway.

  • Nicole Vahl, 36, of the 800 block of Anderson Road, was arrested at 1:06 a.m. in the 800 block of Anderson and charged with domestic battery.
  • Jacob Miller, 27, of Shorewood, was arrested at 10:23 a.m. at Lincoln Highway and Vine Street and charged with driving while license suspended.
  • Hilsi Barrajas, 42, of Joliet; and Victoria Sanchez, 34, of Joliet; were arrested at 1:13 p.m. at Target, 2370 E. Lincoln Highway, and charged with retail theft.

Sept. 6

  • Diane Prince, 49, of Joliet, was arrested at 7 p.m. at Lincoln Highway and Circle Drive and charged with driving while license suspended.

Sept. 8

  • Officers responded to Dunkin Donuts, 273 E. Lincoln Highway, at 1:35 a.m. for a burglary alarm. The glass to the front door was broken, but offender(s) fled before officers arrived. Nothing appeared to be missing.
