Car Burglaries, Disorderly Conduct: Will County Police Reports

The following information is from the Will County Sheriff's Office. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
- Someone entered a business parking lot on June 26 in the 1900 block of Howell Drive and stole a dump trailer worth $7,500.
- Someone entered a car on June 27 in the 2800 block of Morcambe Bay Drive, which the owner thought was locked, and stole $100.
- Someone entered a car on June 27 in the 1800 block of Pheasant Lane, which the owner thought was locked, and stole a backpack containing a wallet, $20, a work ID and work clothing.
- A duffel bag, containing miscellaneous items, was stolen out of a car, which the owner thought was locked, in the 2800 block of Chessington Drive on June 27.
- A loaded handgun was stolen from a car, which was believed to be locked, in the 2100 block of Morcambe Bay Drive on June 27. The rear passenger door and the driver’s door were both opened when the owner discovered the vehicle.
- Someone entered two cars, which were believed to be locked, in the 2800 block of Abbington Drive on June 27. A wallet with $300 and credit cards, as well as a garage door opener, was stolen. One of the vehicle owners was contacted two days later by email stating that someone was fraudulently attempting to file for unemployment under his name.
- Phillip Kluever, 18, of New Lenox, and Darnell Maebane, 18, of Calumet Park, were arrested June 29 in the 800 block of Melrose for disorderly conduct.
