Cash Stolen From Vending Machine At Golf Course: Cops

Sugar was poured into a gas tank and post-it notes were allegedly stolen from Walmart, according to recent New Lenox police reports.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Outstanding Arrest Warrant

Brian P. Landrey, 45, Joliet was stopped at Andrea Drive and Fernwood Terrace at 6:02 a.m. on August 8 and charged with having an outstanding warrant. An officer was on patrol and conducted a registration check. The officer conducted a traffic stop and confirmed the subject, Landrey, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

Theft

An officer was dispatched to the Sanctuary Golf Course in reference to a complaint of theft at 8:45 a.m. on August 8. The complainant advised
that unknown person(s) broke into the vending machine and took U.S. Currency from the machine.

Retail Theft

Tanya Young, 51, Country Club Hills was charged with retail theft at 1:38 p.m. on August 8 at Lowe's, 2480 E. Lincoln Highway. An officer was dispatched to Lowe's at 1:38 p.m. on August 8 in reference to a complaint of a retail theft. The complainant advised that the offender took 20V batteries valued at approximately $358 and exited the store without paying for the items.

Emily A. Fasano, 18, of the 800 block of Southgate Road was charged with retail theft at 10:39 a.m. on August 9 at Walmart, 501 E. Lincoln Highway. An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a complaint of a retail theft. The complainant advised that the offender took post it notes and exited the store without paying for the items.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the police station at 2:22 p.m. on August 8 in reference to a complaint of a burglary to motor vehicle which occurred in the 600 block of Dowling Street. The complainant advised that unknown subject(s) made entry into the unlocked vehicle without permission, taking his wallet.

An officer was dispatched to the 300 block of Maple Street at 3:25 p.m. on August 11 in reference to a complaint of a burglary to motor vehicle. The complainant
advised that unknown subject(s) made entry into the vehicle without permission, taking their cellular phone.

An officer was dispatched to the 100 block of W. Francis Road at 10:04 a.m. on August 13 in reference to a complaint of a burglary to motor vehicle. The
complainant advised that unknown subject(s) made entry into the unlocked vehicle without permission, taking hard hats and micrometers.

Criminal Damage to Property/Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the police station in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property at 12:50 p.m. on August 10. The complainant
advised that unknown person(s) put sugar into the gas tank of their vehicle.
