Distinctive Home Builders- TERRIBLE!!!

TERRIBLE!!! TERRIBLE!! TERRIBLE!!! The owner Brian is one of the worst human beings EVER. Let me explain my story. Long story short, I was building a house through them for the purpose of me taking care of my disabled father. During the build, my dad passed away. We made the difficult decision of not moving forward with the house. We contacted Lynne (the sales lady), and she refused to give us any contact information on the owner. We emailed the owner our request to get some of our money back we already put into the house as well as terminating our contract due to this death. Instead of being a kind human being, Brian ignored us for MONTHS!!! So while we were grieving, we had to deal with the stress of Brian intentionally ghosting us. Finally after months of us waiting we got in touch with his lawyer. Paperwork moved very fast and then AGAIN he ghosted us for another couple months. This process to get only a fraction of the money we gave Distinctive took 4 MONTHS. Unacceptable. Brian is a Heartless Jerk. Please think really hard about going through this builder. Just don’t do it!!!
