20Thus I make it my ambition to proclaim the good news, not where Christ has already been named, so that I do not build on someone else’s foundation, 21but as it is written,
‘Those who have never been told of him shall see,
and those who have never heard of him shall understand.’ ~ Romans 15:20-21
Paul wrote boldly to the church in Rome as to what his mission in life was. His mission is as it still should be for the churches around the world - to take the message of Christ to those who have still not heard of His saving grace. With communication as it is today compared to in the days of the early Christian church, it is hard to believe that there are still people who have never heard about Christ, but they do still exist.

This weekend, we will host our missionary from Cookson Hills Mission in Oklahoma. Meri Whitaker will be telling our congregation about her work with the Native Americans on the reservation that she serves and that we help to support, not only in contributing to her salary, but also with contributions to this community of people that have so little and to which we send members to work on mission trips during the year.
Through our contributions, work, service, prayers and financial support, we hope to further the message of Christ and His grace to this community of people that are less fortunate financially than we are here. May our gifts and service help to show Christ's love to them and lead them to a relationship with Christ. Let us remember that we are here to serve God as His messengers of the Good News and further His kingdom while we are here on earth so that all who live might know of Christ and be saved through Him.

Prayer
Father in Heaven,
Thank you for missionaries that give up their lives in service to You so that others may be led to You and Your Son's saving grace. May we do all in our power to support these missionaries in their work. Use us as You will, Lord. Amen.
