Defendant Had Counterfeit Cash At Walgreens: Complaint

Joliet Police and New Lenox Police have a warrant for her felony arrest.

JOLIET, IL - A 19-year-old woman from out of town is wanted in connection with allegations that she duped employees at a Walgreens in Joliet and another one in New Lenox with fake $50 bills. On Wednesday, the Will County State's Attorney's Office filed two separate felony forgery charges against Kristin Tribett, who remains at large.

She is accused of victimizing the Walgreens on Nelson Road and the Walgreens on Ingalls Avenue on back to back days, Jan. 9-10.

According to the complaint submitted by the New Lenox Police detectives, Tribett "with the intent to defraud, knowingly delivered to Walgreens, located at 466 Nelson Road, New Lenox ... a document apparently capable of defrauding another ... namely the Treasury Department of the United States of America, said document being a counterfeit $50 bill of United States currency."

A separate criminal complaint, submitted by Joliet Police, states that Tribett went to the Walgreens at 1801 Ingalls Ave. on Jan. 10 and committed the same crime, tendering a counterfeit $50 bill there.

According to court documents, Tribett turns 20 next month. The bench warrant for her arrest lists her address as being in the 21800 block of Merrill Avenue in Sauk Village.
