About Trinity Services, Inc.
Trinity Services, Inc. is a nonprofit, non-sectarian organization serving more than 3,500 children and adults who have intellectual/developmental disabilities, and people with mental health needs in more than 30 communities throughout northeast (including Chicago), central and southwest Illinois.
Trinity was originally founded in 1950 as the Trinity School in Joliet, Illinois, by a group of parents of children with developmental disabilities. The agency operated a school and “day program” until 1987.
Since then Trinity has grown to include a wide range of programs and services for children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities and people with mental health needs. With a dedicated staff of over 1,100 people, Trinity still operates a school, and provides residential services (group homes and other community living programs), community day services, a variety of vocational programs including supported employment, respite services, in-home supports, a drop-in center, varied therapeutic services, etc.
Trinity also serves people with mental health needs though its Behavioral Health Network, which provides residential, employment, therapeutic and counseling services.
