I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.’ ~ Joshua 1:9
Friday the 13th has long thought to be an unlucky day by many. History doesn't actually speak of this superstition until the 19th century. So why is it considered unlucky?
Superstition is a belief in supernatural happenings without any direct, natural link between events. The fear of Friday the 13th is called friggatriskaidekaphobia (after the Norse Godess, Frigg, for which Friday is named after in English). Some think that the number 12 is the number of completeness and that the number 13 throws off that completeness. Since the 14th century, Friday has been considered by some to be an unlucky day.

No where in God's Word does it tell us to fear any specific date of a month. In fact, God commands us to "be strong and courageous," because He is always with us. We are not to be frightened or dismayed over silly superstitions that have no bearing other than what some imperfect human has placed on something long ago. God is far greater than anything that could do us harm, so we should go about our days knowing that God is with us and not cower in fear when others' superstitions come to cloud our days with unnecessary apprehensions.
We are to enjoy every day God has blessed us with, for these are one of His many gifts to us. Nothing God gives us is bad for us, for He is our Heavenly Father. He will do nothing to harm us and will do everything to keep us safe from evil.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
When things begin to cause us fear, help us to remember to stay courageous, for You are with us always and will not let evil prevail. Amen.
