Driver Fled Scene And Made Fake Car Theft Report: Police

A New Lenox man faces several charges after a traffic stop at Maple Road and Silver Cross Boulevard.

NEW LENOX, IL -- A New Lenox man faces a slew of charges after police say he fled from a traffic stop at Maple Road and Silver Cross Boulevard on July 27.

Rodney E. Little, 26, of the 1100 block of Maple Road was charged with speeding, improper passing, failure to signal, fleeing and eluding, filing a false police report and filing a false stolen motor vehicle report at 2:10 a.m. on July 27, according to a New Lenox police report.

Police stopped a car allegedly driven by Little after witnessing a traffic violation. But while attempting to make contact with the driver, he allegedly fled the scene.

During a subsequent investigation, Little was arrested and charged with filing a false police report and filing a false stolen motor vehicle report along with other charges in connection to the original traffic stop.
