DUI, Assault: New Lenox Police Reports

New Lenox Police reports through Oct. 14.

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Oct. 8

  • Someone spray painted obscenities on a driveway in the 400 block of Livingston Drive.
  • Someone stole several sheets of drywall from an unsecured home under construction. Loss was $600.
  • Garfield Thompson, 35, of Tinley Park, was arrested at 12:40 p.m. in the 200 block of West Lincoln Highway and charged with assault.
  • Two men were battered by a former employee in the 21600 block of South Moni Drive. Both men were pushed and had their phones knocked out of their hands when they tried to call 911.
  • Jaymee Martin, 23, of Joliet, was arrested at 10:08 p.m. in the 500 block of East Lincoln Highway and charged with driving while license suspended.

  • Eder Magana, 37, of the 300 block of Essex, was arrested at 1:02 a.m. at Lincoln Highway and I-80 and charged with driving while license revoked and expired registration.
  • Charles Simmons, 85, of Chicago, was arrested at 12:04 p.m. at Cedar Road and Route 6 and charged with driving while license suspended, expired registration and no proof of insurance.
  • Charles McCain, 41, of Joliet, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. at Lincoln Highway and Cedar Road and charged with driving while license revoked and expired registration.

Oct. 10

  • Alejandro Martinez, 28, of Rockdale, was arrested at 12:32 a.m. at Lincoln Highway and Prairie Road and charged with DUI, operating an uninsured vehicle and expired registration.
  • Scott Yates, 34, of the 2100 block of Delany Road, was arrested at 7:20 p.m. at Gougar and Laraway roads and charged with driving while license suspended and speeding.

  • Someone stole a wallet from an unlocked car in the 1200 block of Shagbark Road.
  • Loose change and credits cards were stolen from an unlocked car in the 1200 block of Shagbark Road.
  • A flashlight and CDs were stolen from an unlocked car in the 1600 block of Nelson Road.

Oct. 12

  • Someone shot a BB pellet at a window, causing it to break, in the 1800 block of Grandview Drive.
  • Adam Lenhart, 21, of the 300 block of East Francis Road, was arrested at 7:40 p.m. at Nelson and Spencer roads and charged with driving while license suspended.

Oct. 13

  • Jose Barajas, 46, of the 800 block of Willowfield Road, was arrested at 5 p.m. in the 800 block of Willowfield and charged with domestic battery.
