DUI, Car Burglaries: New Lenox Police Reports
New Lenox Police reports through April 29.
The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.
April 22
- Someone entered a vehicle parked in the 2400 block of East Lincoln Highway and stole cash out of the car. There were no signs of forced entry to the car.
- Steven Story, 39, of Joliet, was arrested at 4:09 p.m. at Cherry Hill Road and Washington Street and charged with driving while license revoked.
- Andrew Stege, 35, of Frankfort, was arrested at 11:43 p.m. in the 1800 block of Lincoln Highway and charged with speeding and DUI-alcohol.
April 24

- Frank Abramowicz, 57, of Mokena, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. at Route 6 and Silver Cross Boulevard and charged with driving while license revoked.
- Courtney Ende, 22, of the 3600 block of Wimbourne, was arrested at 8:24 p.m. at TJ MAXX, 485 E. Lincoln Highway, and charged with retail theft.
April 25
- Travis Schaffer, 40, of the 2000 block of Edgeview Drive, was arrested at 8:15 a.m. at Edgeview and Water Chase drives and charged with failure to signal, driving while license suspended and operating an uninsured vehicle.
April 26

- Donovan Carter, 29, of Chicago, was arrested at 10:31 a.m. at Lincoln Highway and Nelson Road and charged with driving while license suspended and illegal use of electronic device.
April 27
- Someone deflated tires on two cars in the 500 block of Kingston Drive.
- Someone entered an unlocked car in the 2800 block of Gifford Place and stole a wallet containing cash and credit cards.
