Easter Isn't Over

20 But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have died. 21For since death came through a human being, the resurrection of the dead has also come through a human being; 22for as all die in Adam, so all will be made alive in Christ. 23But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. ~ 1 Corinthians 15:20-23

Easter has come once again!  A reminder that all things are made new through Christ our Lord and Savior!  Life everlasting is available for all who believe in Him.  What a joyous message!  This message, however, is not a “one time only” sort of message throughout the year, but one that is for all time!

Adam and Eve had condemned us all to death due to that first sin in the beginning of time.  Sin came through one woman and one man into this world.  People atoned for their sins for hundreds of years after, through blood sacrifice of animals and offering the first of their harvests.  Only the sacrifice of one perfect man would really set us free once and for all!

Jesus took it upon Himself to leave His throne in heaven to dwell among us.  He suffered right along with us as He experienced pain and loss as we do.  He also celebrated great joys throughout His time among us.  He loved us so much, that He willingly went through the harshest punishment known to man in His time that ended in His earthly death - a death from which no one had ever returned before.  Jesus, however, was the Almighty God incarnate and had the power to overcome death so that we too may live again in glory with Him one day!   Easter is not over!  Easter has only just begun!

Dearest Lord Jesus,

Thank you for loving us so much that You paid the ultimate price so that we might live eternally with You.  May our praises never cease as we give You our unending gratitude and love.  Amen.
