Household Hazardous Waste and Motor Oil Collection

Bring unwanted household chemicals such as oil-based paint, stains and variishes, along with oil, antifreeze, old gasoline, brake fluid, pesticides, fertilizers, cleaning products and more to this one-day collection event.

It is free of charge for Will County residents.

Mercury and most mercury containing items are accepted. Other items include: pool chemicals, recharagable batteries, lead-acid batteries, compact fluorescent lights, aerosol products and lawn chemicals.

Will County offers four or more one-day Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events each year. These events are meant to give residents local options to dispose of toxic or flamable chemicals in a safe and secure manner. 

In addition, Will County helps to fund a permanent HHW site in Naperville that is also funded by other counties and the Illinois EPA.
