Filmmaker Lucia Mauro to Present at Silver Cross Oct. 29

This special event features a screening of Mauro's film "One Year Later," Q&A with doctors from the Silver Cross Breast Center; and more!

Patients, survivors, caregivers, advocates and anyone affected by cancer are invited to a special event during Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox!

Join us for the screening of "One Year Later," a film by cancer survivor and award-winning writer-director Lucia Mauro on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 6 p.m. at the Silver Cross Conference Center, Pavilion A, 1890 Silver Cross Boulevard.

The hour-long film chronicles one woman's healing, life-affirming journey to the Italian Alps one year after completing cancer treatment. It addresses the emotional side of cancer survivorship and the process of moving on.

The event features a welcome by filmmaker Lucia Mauro, meet/greet with physicians and surgeons from the Silver Cross Breast Center and the UChicago Medicine Comprehensive Cancer Center at Silver Cross, and a question/answer session.
