Former DePaul Great Named Providence Volleyball Coach
Lisa Muys still holds Blue Demon records. Her next endeavor will be leading the Providence volleyball team.

NEW LENOX, IL - Providence Catholic High School recently announced the hiring of Lisa Muys as its next girls' volleyball coach. Muys, currently the director of Lions South in Orland Park, has 25 years of volleyball coaching experience and excelled on the court at Andrew High School and DePaul University.
"I am very excited for this opportunity to develop, train and join the Providence Catholic family and tradition of excellence," Muys said. "I have a passion for the game of volleyball and want to instill this in each girl."
Muys was a three-year varsity letter winner as a player for Andrew, having earned both All-Conference and All-Area accolades. She went on to DePaul, where she still has the school's single season record with 122 service aces and recorded the school's single-match kill record with 42 kills against Loyola University in 1983. She was named the North Star Conference MVP in 1982 and 1983 and was inducted into the DePaul Hall of Fame in 2006.

Her current coaching role is at Lions South in Orland Park, which has 12 teams ranging from the ages of 10-17U.
