Gaming Machine Damaged At American Legion Post: Cops
Several reports of criminal damage to property have been made in New Lenox in recent days.

Criminal Damage to Property
An officer was dispatched to Tom E. Hartung American Legion Post 1977, 14414 Ford Dr. at 8:15 p.m. on July 24 in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) damaged their gaming machine.

An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Wisconsin Road at 12"33 a.m. on July 25 in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) damaged their vehicle.
An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of W. Joliet Hwy. at 6:37 a.m. on July 25 in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) damaged their vehicle.

An officer was dispatched to the 200 block of W. Joliet Hwy. at 7:04 a.m. on July 25 in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) damaged their mailbox.
An officer was dispatched to the 700 block of N. Cooper Road at 10:48 a.m. on July 25 in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) damaged their vehicle and mailbox.
An officer was dispatched to Longlane Road at 6:18 p.m. on July 29 in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) damaged their mailbox.
An officer was dispatched to Haines Wayside Park in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property at 9:10 p.m. on July 30. The complainant advised that unknown person(s) damaged two buildings on park grounds using spray paint.
An officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Kingston Dr. at 2:58 p.m. on July 30 in reference to a complaint of criminal damage to property. The complainant
advised that unknown person(s) damaged their vehicle.
Burglary to Motor Vehicle
An officer was dispatched to the 1800 block of Edmonds Ave. at 6:42 a.m. on July 28 in reference to a complaint of a burglary to motor vehicle. The complainant advised that unknown subject(s) made entry into the vehicle without permission, taking numerous items.
DUI
Jacqueline Oakes, 55, of the 1700 block of Nelson Road was charged with improper lane usage, failure to signal and DUI at 1:53 a.m. on July 28 while stopped at Nelson Road and Winter Park Dr. An officer was on patrol and was alerted about a reckless driver. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. The officer learned that the driver, Oakes, was under the influence of alcohol. Oakes was arrested and transported to the police station.
Kevin M.Black, 38, of the 200 block of Spencer Road was charged with an equipment violation, operation of an uninsured motor vehicle and DUI while stopped at Route 30 and Spencer Road at 1:27 a.m. on July 30. An officer was on patrol and observed an equipment violation. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the motor vehicle. The officer learned that the driver, Black, was under the influence of alcohol. Black was arrested and transported to the police station.
Outstanding Arrest Warrant
Jeffrey R. Podjaski, 29, Chicago was charged on an outstanding warrant at 3:19 p.m. on July 28. An officer was dispatched to the police station in reference to a subject turning himself in on a warrant. The office confirmed the subject, Podjaski, had an outstanding warrant for his arrest.
Retail Theft
Nicole E. Vieni, 30, Mokena was charged with retail theft at 6:36 p.m. on July 30 at Walmart. An officer was dispatched to Walmart in reference to a retail theft complaint. Upon arrival, the complainant advised that Vieni stole over 60 items from the store.
