GNC Nutrition Store Opens in New Lenox

Looking to expand its market in the area, a GNC nutrition and supplement store opened last week in New Lenox.

Manager Tony Russo said the store opened Friday, April 27. It's located in the New Lenox Retail Center near and , filling the spot once used by . 

"There wasn't really anything in the area," Russo said. He added that having an abundance of high schools in the area allows them to work with any age.

GNC stores specialize in sports nutrition, offering a variety of vitamins, supplements, proteins and more. The staff is made up of certified nutritionists through the GNC University. 

Russo said a current grand opening special is buy one, get one half-off for sports nutrition items. That will last two months. 

The store is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. during the week, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. .
