Hair Salon Clipped By Phony Paper Passer

A New Lenox hair salon got stuck with a bad check written for services and merchandise, police said.

An officer was sent to Charles Morris Salon shortly after 5 p.m. Friday to look into a report of deceptive practice.

After the officer arrived at the East Lincoln Highway salon, he was told a “subject wrote a check for services and merchandise that was returned for non-sufficient funds,” police said.

Police detectives were to look into the matter.
