NEW LENOX, IL - Here's your look at some of the criminal activity in New Lenox from the past week.

MAY 23

Two complainants in the 100 block of Hickory Street advised that their vehicles were damaged overnight following a party at their residence. Side mirrors were broken and the vehicles were dented.

MAY 25

The officer on patrol observed a vehicle speeding near Route 30 and Cooper Street. The officer conducted a traffic stop and met with the driver, Marcin Dziubek, 30, of Homer Glen. The officer learned Dziubek was driving under the influence of alcohol. Dziubek posted bond and was released.

MAY 26

The complainant placed an ad on social media seeking references for some construction work on their home. The complainant was contacted by someone who later came to the complainant’s home and provided an estimate for the work. The complainant provided person with a down payment. The suspect has not provided the service agreed upon and has not returned the complainant’s phone calls.

MAY 27

The officer was dispatched to a call of a motorist passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at Route 30 and Gougar Road. The officer located the vehicle and made contact with the driver who was asleep at the wheel. Upon investigation, the officer learned that the driver, Dominique Woodard, had a suspended driver’s license and a loaded handgun in the vehicle. To read the full story, go here.

MAY 28

The officer was dispatched to the 2100 block of Cardinal Drive in reference to a Criminal Damage to Property complaint. The complainant advised their residence was damaged as a result of someone setting off fireworks.
