The local pizza shop is celebrating its 20th anniversary with 1991 prices on some of its most popular foods.

After opening a pizza shop in 1991 with a store in Oak Forest (which is no longer open), Pizza Mia! owner Dave Dombrowski has seen his stores grow in the south suburbs.

The small chain of take-out and delivery storefronts specializes in pizzas, sandwiches, chicken and pasta dinners, and has locations in New Lenox, Homer Glen and .

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, Pizza Mia! locations are offering giveaways and throwback prices on some popular food items this week. Dombrowski is charging the 1991 cost to a large cheese pizza ($8.45), Italian beef sandwich ($2.95) and the eight-piece broasted chicken special ($5.45).

Customers also have a shot at winning free pizza for a year by stopping in one of the locations and scratching off a ticket. The discounts last through Saturday, July 16.
