Indiana Sex Offender Broke Door at Silver Cross Hospital: Cops

An Indiana sex offender was taken into custody after he broke a door at Silver Cross Hospital, police said.

John Wildfang, 34, was arrested at the hospital on a charge of criminal damage to property Sunday night.

Officers were reportedly sent to Silver Cross shortly before 8:30 p.m. and learned Wildfang had become “disruptive in the hospital waiting room and damaged a door.”

Wildfang was taken to the police station and released after he posted bond.

Wildfang is a registered sex offender in Indiana. The Michigan City man was convicted of sexual misconduct with a minor in October 2005. He is due to come off the sex offender registry this October.
