Jewel Thefts, Enfamil Stolen From Walmart: Cops

The following information is from the New Lenox Police Department. An arrest is not an indication of guilt.

Retail Theft

James E. Gomez, 30, Joliet was charged with retail theft at 9:05 p.m. on March 20 at Jewel. An officer was dispatched in reference to a retail theft. The complainant advised that offender, Gomez, was stopped upon exiting the store with six bottles of alcohol which he had not paid for. The cost of the alcohol was approximately $100.

Joseph A. Lionello, 44, Joliet was charged with retail theft at 5:14 p.m. on March 22 at Jewel. An officer was dispatched in reference to a retail theft. The complainant advised that offender, Lionello, was stopped upon exiting the store with various food items and personal products which he had not paid for. The cost of the items was approximately $91.

Emily F. Hatfield, 25, Manhattan was charged with retail theft at 9:16 p.m. on March 30 at Walmart. The complainant advised that the offender, Hatfield, stole a t-shirt valued at $7 from the store and attempted to exit without paying for the item.

Retail Theft

Jamila K. Coleman, 35, Joliet was charged with retail theft at 1:59 p.m. on March 24 at Walmart. An officer was dispatched in reference to a retail theft. The complainant advised that a subject, Coleman, stole four cans of Enfamil valued at $67 without paying for the items.

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Degroate at 9:47 p.m. on March 24 in reference to a complaint of a burglary to motor vehicle. The complainant advised that an unknown person entered their unlocked semi-tractor and rummaged through items without permission. No property was reported missing.

An officer was dispatched to the LA Fitness on Lincoln Highway at 2:42 p.m. on March 24 in reference to a complaint of a burglary to motor vehicle. The complainant advised that an unknown person forced entry to their vehicle and removed their wallet without permission.

Criminal Damage to Property

An officer was dispatched to the 2300 block of Foxwood Drive at 4:12 a.m. on March 13 in reference to a complaint of burglary to motor vehicle. The complainant advised that an unknown subject(s) entered their open garage and took money and credit cards from their unlocked vehicle.

Stolen Motor Vehicle

An officer was dispatched to the 600 block of Walker Way at 7:07 a.m. on March 26 in reference to a complaint of a stolen motor vehicle. The complainant advised that someone stole their vehicle from their driveway. The vehicle was later recovered in Chicago.
