Joliet Montessori Parent/Toddler Classes Nearly Full for Fall

Running September-November 2018, Tuesday & Thursday Morning Programs Filling Faster than Expected

The school year hasn’t quite ended yet at Joliet Montessori School (JMS) in Crest Hill, but area parents of toddlers from 18 months to three years are already looking forward to the coming fall session. That’s because the school’s popular Parent/Toddler program has already drawn a high number of early enrollments – classes for next fall are already half-full, running well ahead of the normal pace of registration.

Head of School Heidi Geiger personally runs the program for young learners and their parents. “These classes are a particular passion of mine,” Heidi says. “Montessori education is all about igniting a lifelong love of learning, exploration and experimentation in one’s environment. Nowhere is that more important than in the first months of formal education.”

Heidi adds, “Of course, it’s a lot of fun, too. It’s so rewarding – for me and the parents – to see the breakthroughs, the little victories when one of the kids makes a new connection. It just proves that the love of learning is innate. It’s our job at JMS to nurture that love.”

Parent/Toddler Classes are offered on Tuesdays (September 18 through November 6) and Thursdays (September 20 through November 8), from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. during the fall term.

Classes are $150 per session, which includes learning materials for parents. Families enrolling in both Tuesday and Thursday classes receive a discount on the total tuition.

Early interest and small class sizes mean space is limited. Families are encouraged to register for fall Parent/Toddler Class at JMS online, or call the school for more information at (815) 741-4180.
