Judge Sets $6,000 Bond For New Lenox Defendant Lance Hosman

New Lenox police arrested the 24-year-old over the weekend on Nelson Road.

A Will County judge has set a $6,000 bond for Lance Hosman, a New Lenox man who faces three criminal charges in connection with his arrest over the weekend. Hosman is accused of two counts of domestic battery and another count of resisting arrest, three misdemeanors. Records from the Will County jail listed Hosman's address in the 1700 block of Nelson Road.

According to the New Lenox Police Department, here's a summary of the circumstances surrounding Hosman's arrest from early Sunday: he began screaming at someone and things became physical. Hosman is accused of slapping his victim. New Lenox police responded. Hosman locked himself in a bedroom and refused to come even after officers told him several times to open the door. Eventually, Hosman emerged from the room and police officers took him away in handcuffs.

During Monday's court hearing, the Will County Public Defender's Office accepted the assignment to represent Hosman in his criminal case. A formal not-guilty plea was entered by the court. As a condition of bond, the judge ordered Hosman to have no contact with the victim. Hosman was also ordered stay away from the apartment unit in the 1700 block of Nelson Road while his criminal case is pending.
