A pair of parking lot car burglaries were reported to New Lenox police after 6 p.m. Monday, November 6.

NEW LENOX, IL - The village of New Lenox does not have a lot of violent crime, but this growing Will County community of 24,000 near Joliet is hardly immune from criminal activity. Last week, at least two cars in the large parking lot of the LA Fitness business were burglarized by a methodical thief. The New Lenox Police Department says both of these crimes remain active and under investigation. So far, nobody has been arrested.

Here are the pertinent facts:

A New Lenox squad car responded to the LA Fitness at 6:08 p.m. last Monday, November 6. The business is in the 2400 block of East Lincoln Highway. The car burglary victim told the officer that someone smashed a window and stole her purse.
