Latest Will County Jail Detention Blotter
Several of these inmates were arrested after St. Patrick's Day.

It is not a crime to listen to Irish music and have a good time on St. Patrick's Day, however, a number of people from around the Will County area ended up at the county detention facility in downtown Joliet over the weekend. Many were arrested for the crime of drinking and driving even though several area police agencies had publicized the fact that they were beefing up their DUI patrols for St. Patrick's Day. Others were arrested for crimes including violating orders of protection. Here's a rundown of some of the most recent incarcerations since Saturday, St. Patrick's Day, here in Will County.
