The status of returning to school remains a fluid situation, Superintendent R. Scott Tingley wrote in a letter to the community.
NEW LENOX, IL — At its special board meeting on Tuesday, the Lincoln-Way District 210 board of education approved a resolution to begin the 2020-21 school year with blended learning.
The status of returning to school remains a fluid situation, Superintendent R. Scott Tingley wrote in a letter to the community.
"District administration and the board of education will continue to monitor our region’s metrics and make changes to plans according to the guidelines established by the Illinois Department of Public Health and the Illinois State Board of Education," he wrote in a post shared on the district's Facebook page. "If necessary, plans are in place to move to full remote learning as well."

Families will have the choice between blended learning or full remote learning. In the blended learning choice, students are split alphabetically into two groups. Depending on the week, students will attend in-person school two to three times per week, and will remote learn on the days they aren't in school.
You can find more information on the reopening plan on the district website.
