LW 210 Ends Year With Budget Surplus
A $3.1 million surplus comes just one year after a $4.2 million deficit in the Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210.

NEW LENOX, IL -- Lincoln-Way Community High School District 210 ended the 2017 fiscal year with a surplus of more than $3 million. The difference in the 2017 total from 2016 was significant as the previous year ended with a deficit of $4.2 million, according to a Daily Southtown report.
LW 210 Finance Director Kelly Luzzo showed a final surplus of $3.1 million in her report to the board of education last week. It was a positive swing that totaled $7,360,019.
Since June 2016, district officials voted to close Lincoln-Way North High School and cut 31 staff members. Numbers show the district spent $6.5 million less than the year before and brought in about $2.7 million more.
