Man Caught Cashing Bad Check After Two Prior Visits to Bank With Bad Checks: Cops

The Markham man allegedly pushed his luck at a New Lenox bank and got caught.

A Markham man’s luck ran out when he tried pulling a bad check scam for a third time at the same bank, police said.

An officer was sent to the TCF Bank on East Lincoln Highway shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday to look into a report of a man trying to cash a fraudulent check.

The cops identified the phony paper passer as 25-year Roy Holmes of Markham and learned he had deposited bad checks at the same bank twice before, police said.
