Metra Train Station Construction Begins In New Lenox

NEW LENOX, IL — Construction for the new Metra train station in New Lenox will start Feb. 24. The village said the work will start in the middle parking lot near the pay stations at the east end of the existing platform.

There will be no parking allowed in the construction area. The village said pedestrians will be able to use the sidewalk along the north and east site of the construction area to access the pay boxes and platform.

The area will be under construction until November 2020.
